Each piece in the Wonders Collection, developed by the husband-and-wife team of Jenny Argie and Andrew Thornton, is fashioned after one of the recognized Wonders of the World and features a unique hangtag that briefly describes and illustrates the significance of the item's namesake. This stimulating collection comprises thirteen furnishings, including the practical (and so cute you'll want it for yourself) Eiffel bookcase, the stackable Picchu dresser, and the multipurpose Fundy play table.

As the parents of two kids (and with a third on the way), Thornton and Argie understand how quickly tots grow up, so they've designed their furniture to adjust along with every new height measurement marked on your wall. Thus, the Sahara crib converts into the Petra toddler bed, and the legs of the Taj chair and Giza table can be extended as those of you son or daughter get longer.

Argington is completely committed to sustainability, energy conservation, and waste reduction. The wood used is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), all finishes are nontoxic, and the birch plywood is made with low-emission glues.

   Bamboo fabric

What's soft and light and "green" all over? This fabric, which is made from the pulp of the same grass used in bamboo flooring and building material; is much more sustainable and Earth-friendly than cotton, since it grows on a rapidly renewing plant (in some conditions it can grow more than three feet a day); and requires little to no pesticides. Bamboo is also naturally soft and comfortable against the skin, has moisture-wicking (it's three times as absorbent as cotton) and insulating properties, and is somewhat antibacterial, which means it resists odor. Textile products made from bamboo and bamboo blends are increasingly available from mainstream retailers. A note for animal lovers: Just like bamboo flooring, the textile fibers come from a species of bamboo that pandas don't eat-so there's no risk of harvesting their dinner for your wardrobe.
