Here's to Solving a Real Drinking Problem- The Green Glass Company |
|
Toast your earth-preserving deeds with The Green Glass Company's recycled glass tumblers and goblets. Using a unique manufacturing system, artists take discarded beer and wine bottles and turn them into practical and adorable glassware. From a single bottle, glassworkers can produce two individual drinking glasses: a tumbler from the base of the bottle, and a goblet from the top half. This two-for-one deal reduces the amount of glass getting tossed into landfills. It's a green process from start to finish. First, various suppliers sort used bottles that would otherwise be thrown away and ship them to The Green Glass Company. After the bottles are transformed into the vividly colored, signature glassware, the company then ships the goblets and tumblers to store locations and customers in reused or recycled packaging with biodegradable packing peanuts. The color and style options are virtually limitless. Glasses can be clear or frosted, etched with a design, or sandblasted with a company name or logo. The provenance of each glass (perhaps a bottle that once held Chardonnay or Zinfandel) is indicated on the company's web site. Be sure to browse through the cool Mint tumblers, rustic Walnut goblets, and the striking Royal series of rich, blue former Bordeaux bottles. Vases, coat racks, and candleholders are also available, and all glasses can be customized for special events.
