Solar water heater

Sun-warmed water is something you might seek on a tropical vacation. But you don't have to go that far if you've got a solar water heater. This is a system designed for the home; it collects heat from the sun and transfers that heat to a stored water supply. A solar water heater can save money and energy-since the fuel source is both free and renewable-but a backup conventional heater is almost always necessary for times when demand is high or sunlight is scarce. Solar water-heating systems often already incorporate this backup.
