Polymer

This is a chain of small molecules, called monomers, that is joined to create a material with a unique, useful, and sometimes nearly indestructible molecular structure. Polymers are everywhere: DNA is a polymer found in nature; plastics, including PVC and polyester, are synthetic examples.
