Multiple chemical sensitivity

Ever feel as if perfectly ordinary things in your environment are making you sick? This is how some people thought to have this disorder feel. Multiple chemical sensitivity is an extreme adverse reaction to even low levels of chemicals encountered in daily life-those found in building materials, paints, finishes, cleaning products, cigarettes, perfumes, and many more. Although the reactions-including nausea, trembling, headaches, fatigue, memory loss, and depression-can be severe, the validity of the diagnosis is controversial. Some medical experts reject the existence of multiple chemical sensitivity, and the cause and effect relationship between these low levels of chemicals and illness has not been proven.
