Heat gain

There's nothing worse than a crowded room on a hot day. It isn't your imagination-human bodies do add heat to a space. So do appliances, electronics equipment, lightbulbs, and sunlight. Heat gain refers to all heat, from all sources, that is introduced to a room or building. Finding ways to cut back on heat gain (have your party outside, serve a cool meal, turn off those computers) is a part of the natural cooling process.
